Covington Kitchen Remodel

Design, beauty, and functionality unite this modern white and dark gray luxury kitchen remodel completed within the Covington residence in Buffalo, NY by  Maple  + Walnut Woodworks.

Basic Project Overview

• Overall design and layout of the kitchen
• Wall removal between the old dining room and the kitchen to create a more modern living space and allow additional space for a kitchen island
• Wall removal between the kitchen and the back staircase to the side door was also partially removed allowing for more natural light and a more functional use of space
• Design and craftsmanship of the all-white and gray cabinetry made using supper matte, scratch and finger resistant polymer coated HDF sheets, with hardware chosen for both style and function
• Integrated lighting throughout the space with recessed fixtures
• Increased the size of the window opening to allow more natural light to enter the kitchen
• Custom-designed and built peninsula featuring a waterfall countertop
• Custom-designed and built full pantry wall with a modern transitional design
• Custom-designed seating area leading into the kitchen area
• Custom built-in accent pieces such as bookcase, seating bench and trim in natural walnut
• To create a cohesive look the original floorboards were removed and replaced with natural Quarter Sawn White Oak finished in a matte finish
